MEMBER NEWS PREMIER BANK HOSTS FUND RAISING EVENT LENEXA, KS – Premier Bank today announced they will be sponsoring "Cookout for a Cause" which will benefit the Kansas City Autism Training Center. The event will be held on site at Premier Bank’s Fairway branch located at 2701 Shawnee Mission Parkway (Belinder and Shawnee Mission Parkway) on August 28, 2009, from 11am to 2pm. The mission of the Kansas City Autism Training Center is to provide professional, research based interventions and training for children diagnosed with autism and their families. In addition, their facility provides education and training in the use of these techniques to parents, teachers, therapists, educators, and other direct service providers in the Kansas City area. “Our plan is to regularly pick a charitable organization and sponsor a fund raising event for them. Last month we raised over $1500 for the American Stroke Foundation. At this month’s cookout event we will serve hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, a drink and cookies to everyone who makes a donation. All proceeds will then be donated to our charitable organization of the month” states Jeff Boomgarden, Branch Manager. “We are very involved in our community and greatly appreciate the support of the Kansas City Autism Center and community donors on this event.”
