TERRACON'S DENNY HONORED FOR PUBLIC SERVICE

Dr. Craig Denny, P.E, a senior principal in Terracon’s Lenexa office, has been named the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE) Outstanding Citizen. Denny received the KSPE Eastern Chapter’s Outstanding Citizen award in May.

Criteria considered for the honor in the selection process are civic, fraternal and other affiliations, activities and accomplishments.

Active in his profession and his community, Denny is an American Society of Civil Engineers Fellow and member of the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers and National Society of Professional Engineers. Denny was Chair of the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce in 2007 and serves on the Lenexa Economic Development Council and Lenexa Parks and Recreation Board.  Denny is President of the Shawnee Mission School Board (2007-08).

Denny has been with Terracon since 1973, is a member of the board of directors and serves as director of the Terracon foundation. He earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Iowa State University and a doctorate from the University of Kansas.
