NEIDLEIN NAMED NEW GENERAL MANAGER AT TURNER CONSTRUCTION

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Paul Neidlein was recently named the new General Manager of Turner Construction Company’s Kansas City office.  Turner’s former General Manager, Dewey Newton, will be assuming a national sales role within the company.

Neidlein was previously Turner’s Manager of Business Development, helping to secure numerous high-profile construction projects, including projects at the University of Kansas, the New Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs, Briarcliff Hilltop Office Building and the University of Kansas Hospital Medical Office Building.

A graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering, Neidlein has nearly 15 years of experience with Turner. In 1998, Paul was one of three selected to launch the Special Projects Division (SPD) of Turner in Kansas City. As a Project Engineer, he managed the construction of various SPD projects before becoming a Senior Project Manager and eventually the Division Manager. As Division Manager, SPD grew to a full-time staff of more than 20 individuals and an annual volume of more than $30 million, twenty-five percent of the office’s entire annual volume.

Neidlein is currently on the Board of Directors for the Olathe Economic Development Council and the Kansas City chapter of NAIOP. Paul is also on the Hall of Fame Committee for the Chiefs Charity Game. He is a LEED® Accredited Professional and was honored with a spot in Ingram’s Magazine’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2006.

Newton’s new position will involve business development for Turner in the Midwest and the development of relationships with regional and national clients. He will also continue his General Management responsibilities for Turner’s Denver office. During his tenure in Kansas City, Dewey has been instrumental in overseeing the construction of high-profile projects such as Kansas Speedway, the H. Roe Bartle Hall Expansion over 16 lanes of traffic, and the Marion Park Project. He has seen the office grow from five people to nearly 100 dedicated professionals in the 20 years Turner has been in operation in KC.
