DEFFENBAUGH INDUSTRIES MAKES LANDFILL DISPOSAL SAFER, MORE CONVENIENT
(SHAWNEE, Kan.) November 10, 2009 – Deffenbaugh Industries earlier this month opened a new Customer Convenience Center at the Johnson County Landfill , located at Interstate 435 and Holliday Drive in Shawnee, Kan. The new site offers individual customers an easier, low-cost option for the disposal of household waste, appliances and yard waste.
“This new facility will make disposal much quicker and safer for the public,” company spokesman Tom Coffman said. “Individuals will no longer have to drive their trucks and small trailers through landfill traffic and unload alongside commercial vehicles. The Customer Convenience Center is located near the entrance of the landfill and has containers dedicated to specific types of residential waste.”
The Customer Convenience Center is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., and major credit cards are accepted. Detailed lists of acceptable and unacceptable items – as well as the rates for trash and yard waste disposal – are listed on the company’s website at www.deffenbaughinc.com.
